I flew Delta airlines with my family to Belize is central America. On the return journey, on the 7th July 2008, my 4 year old did not want to wear her shoes. They were packed into our check in luggage inadvertantly. This was not a problem for Delta from Belize to Atlanta, but when we tried to board out connecting flight to Manchester, Delta airlines staff would not let her board the plane, just because she did not have her shoes.
My girlfriend and two other children got on the flight and I was forced to stay overnight in Atlanta against my will. Delta refused to pay for the hotel overnight.
My girlfriend overheard some of their staff saying that the flight had been overbooked. Delta you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Their staff are small minded and petty.
I will not be flying with them again.
